The 31st of October is closer and Halloween knock on our doors. At the table or in the streets Halloween is a celebration that includes lot of activities in USA as in other Anglo-Saxon countries in the world. But what do you prepare for Halloween?
As all we know Halloween activities include trick or treating, costume parties, carving pumpkins into jack o’-lanternes, telling scary stories, watching horror films but what do you tipically eat for this celebration?
There are a lot of recipes for Halloween and all of these are delicious and prepared with yummy seasonal products like apples such as candy apples, known also as taffy apples or caramel. At one time, candy apples were commonly given to trick-or-treating children, but the practice rapidly waned in the wake of widespread rumors that some individuals were embedding items like pins and razor blades in the apples. One custom that persists in modern-day Ireland is the baking of a barmbrack, a light fruitcake into wich a plain ring, a coin and other charms are placed before baking.

Roll your dough out so that it is at least 12’ long and tie a knot in both ends. Brush the tops with one egg and sprinkle them with your favourite cheese. Bake in a 450F degree oven about 10-12 minutes and the crunchy bones breadsticks are done!
